I need to find a 130/140 17 tyre in Aswan, Luxor or Cairo, who can help?

Currently in Wadi waiting for the ferry, saw today my rear tyre is busy de laminating.
I see somebody posted info on a man in Cairo that repair bikes.

But any other info or help is welcome.

17'' oops..

:funmeterno:

But seriously, you have VERY limited options. All riders I know in Egypt drive bikes with 18 inches rear wheels. Will ask around nonetheless and let you know if I find anything.

Hi Michnus,

sorry, can't help you regarding your tyre, but I checked pikipiki ;o)
According to your itinerary you'll end up in Germany. Should you plan to visit Munich pls. PM me or send an email. My address is in my profile. I'll be at home May to mid June, from mid July until end of August and maybe the third week in September (Oktoberfest).

Take care.

Michnus,

how long do you plan to leave the bikes here in Germany? I suppose I could organise a safe place to keep them stored for a while. And we'll have a lekker braai bier

Try the Cairo community, I got a pair from one of them a couple of years ago and they had a fair choice of part used.

michnus 14 Apr 2012 22:29

Hans thanks so much, I would take you up on the offer if we make it to Germany for sure.

We want to leave it there till next year to go back and then tour Europe for a few months.

Thanks Mark I am okay for now with the tyre I got from the guy in Wadi.

Thanks Jamie, I need a 17" though. We are at the Red sea and will go to Cairo in few days.
I think the tyre I got from Mazar in Wadi will just be enough to get me to Germany.
