Does anyone know if the border btw Sudan and Eritrea has open yet.

What is the security situation round this part of the world like?

Lonely planet says there is a car ferry btw Eritrea and Saudi. Can anyone confirm this?

Any info re this part of the world will be appreciated.

My contact in Sudan says yes it is open. We are not going that far as Khartoum is our furthest south destination. We then turn for the Red Sea.

I don't have definate info but only what I am told from Sudan.
