Italy - Morocco via ferry?
I am looking to get to Morocco from the port of Genoa in Italy to Morocco via Sicily and Valencia in Southern Spain and then the drive to Almeria. Owning a 1982 Series 3 in Slovenia (Central Europe), I have no wish to drive all the way to Southern Spain due to cost and an extra 2500 kms on the clock. From Morocco I am taking the Transatlantic route to Burkina Faso and hence would like to save my energy and undue wear on the vehicle before hitting the sand!
I am currently looking to get to Genoa and then to take a ferry to Palermo in Sicily and then another one from Palermo to Valencia in Southern Spain and then a 4/5 hour drive to Almeria Does anyone have any other ideas or know of a better route. Cheers, Andy |
dear andy,
there is a vessel operated by COMANAV once a week from SETE in southern France, close to the spanish border either to NADOR or TANGER in Marocco directly. We can book it with ease in Germany using some professional expedition operaters but there is also a web side www.comanav.nl I just checked which gives you all the informations you need, even if it published in dutch language. good luck, best regards, stefan |
