Libya-Egypt border closed?
 

I have been told that the Libya-Egypt border is now closed. Is this true, and what is a good source online for up to date border status?

A friend just crossed that boarder the other day he is now enjoying the pleasures of the traffic in Cairo. I belive he was not impressed with Libya "for the 1000 euros i had to spend getting through libya for visas ect again just a waist of time and rather would fly my bike out of egypt if i ever did this again .( not very soon janet ) libya is flat , poor and sh#t everywhere"

where are you at the moment , met some guys here in cairo that have driven around from holland and recon that they will get a transit visa in the morning here in cairo . good luck to them . i met 6 kiwi guys/girl that were in libya and they also could'nd get away from the giude .
