Libya - entry from the south??
I saw the following on another forum earlier in the day. It's made me more than a little curious about what the answer might be...
Mike "re Niger/Libya. Bear with me here. It was clear enough, when I was in Dirkou last year, that entering Libya is "straightforward" enough. Witness the hundreds of Nigerians making the journey. What I couldn't get a handle on is what will the Libyan officials if they find you inside Libya? My guess is that you might get as far as Sebha before you have a real face to face with officialdom. I could deal with being expelled to Niger. That’s only a matter of making sure that you have you MULTIPLE entry visa for Niger. However being taken to Tripoli and put on the first flight out/or worse does seem a bit problematic…. Any thoughts?" |
Not sure what the question is, but its common for Africans to be able to use certain borders which Euros cant, Deb Deb - Ghadames for example -or Tunisia Nalut, Djanet Ghat.
Euros have tried at these and been turned back (tho a camel guy made it with tripoli sat phone connections) - some bollocks about number plates being the main excuse. Chris S |
