Lihfera, north Mauri
 

Hi,
something a bit out of the ordinary:
Has anybody been to a small "commercial" crossroad called "Lihfera" in the extreme north tip of Mauritania?
Have been there with some local people (unfortunately no GPS) in 2002.
There are cars and even trucks going from there directly to Taudeni in Mali.
Has anybody done that route recently or in the past?

Can you give more detailed info, where Lihfera is and how to get there from Atar by public means of transport?

it's in the northernmost tip of Mori, on the way to Tindouf in algeria

Thank you for the info. Are those "cars and even trucks going from there directly to Taudeni in Mali" you wrote in the first message of local origin? If yes, this is the "public transport" I am asking for.
