Morocco , Mauri , Mali , Niger , Chad , Sudan , Etiopie , Kenia , etc.. etc... all the way down to S . Africa, in abbout 2 months

I ll be driving a modified Suzuki Jeep (petrol 1.0 ) .
Looking for travel companions (with their own cars !) ...for travelling in group /caravan at least trhought the Niger/Chad/Sudan/Etiopie or even trouhgt all the trip (if driving schedules / speeds / budgets match) .

Do you mean you are leaving in 2 months or you want to complete the whole trip in 2 months?

I mean leaving from Spain in about two months... I reckon It will take me about 3+ months plus.

I think there will be many +'s to your 3 months. I am planning to leave on the same trip on 15 April 2003 and expect to take about 9 months.

I thinks its right about the ++s. I had written a long response yesterday when I mis read your post and throught you wanted to completed in 2 months. Whilst possible in 3 months why would you want to rush it that quickly. Given all the money, work involved in making exped happen, suggest making the most of it but thats only my opinion.

If you do want to go quickly, main hurdles to get over are 1) visas - if you have to keep waiting along the route this will add substantial time and may require you to go to places you wouldn't otherwise bother with just to get these. The more you can line up in advance the better. 2) parts - high chance you will have some things that break and need replacing on the trip - try and work out where to get parts - Suzukis aren't common in Africa and you may struggle unless they share parts with a more common car. You may need to look at ways of getting parts sent in if required - trying to find parts again takes lots of time. 3) tool kit and servicing items - your best way to try and avoid getting tied up on fixing problems is lots of preventative maintenance. We went trans africa on a similar route over 7 months. We covered 24000 miles - ideally you want to carry enough filters / brake pads / etc to cover all these servicing intervals or once again you will be searching round for bits. First place you can easily find stuff on your route is Nairobi and even then didn't see any Suzukis.

Also if you are keen on the 3 month timescale, ideally fellow travellers would need to also be working to this as it will involve alot of driving, not to many rest days and getting a group to keep moving at that pace can be difficult if they don't all have the same constraints.
