Malí visa
 

I can't get a Malí visa in Spain, and from previous posts I know I can get it swiftly in Nouakchott (or slowly in Rabat or Casablanca), but I don't want to stop in Morocco and I would like to go from Nouadibu to Nema and Tombuctú. Any chances to get it along the way skipping Nouakchott? What happens if I get to Tombuctú without a visa, can I get it there?

gave me two or three days to get to Bamako, and the visa was sorted out there. No problem.

It was south of Ayoûn el Atroûs, Nioro, in March/April 2007. As far as I know its still straight forward. You will find the office for going out of Mauri a bit before the border, on the left side, and there are about three different locations you need to visit on the Mali side. Its a good place to buy insurance as well.
