If you're after a very cold beer and or some good food (not cheap) I can highly recommend Hotel Le Relais (HIPPODROME - ROUTE DE KOULIKORO).

I will be at Hotel Mande 3 Feb, 23 & 24 Feb. The rest of the time I will be travelling to and from Mauritania. If anyone is interested in a beer then, please stop by...ask for the female American travelling to/from Mauritania.

Are you guys still, or anyone else, still in Bamako? Tonight - wednesday feb 2 - there;s supposedly a karaoke night in the very entertaining Appaloosa bar. Sounds pretty funny to me. Anyone interested in going? Let me know here. I am staying nearby at the Paroisse Catholique, which is a bit of a depressing place by the way.
