Mauritania to Chad
 

I was curious if anyone has any information or has personally travelled overland from Nouakchott, Mauritania to N'Djamera, Chad. Also, what information does one have about eastern Mauritania and northern Chad, especially the Tibesti Mountain region. Plan on travelling to this region this summer

Travelled it last year. Route info in Sahara Overland is current as of then. At that time only some GSPCC raids in the north, but well away from the lake. Travelling around the lake was dusty and desolate. People not so friendly in Bol, but you have to stop there to get carnet stamped.
