mechanic in hamburg?
 

i am now considering buying LandCruiser in Hamburg, Germany (after almost buying two in Holland). the vehicle needs some repair work. can someone recommend a good - honest - mechanic or off-road shop in hamburg? i'm going to be buying and dealing with this remotely via bank transfer and telephone from the U.S. so i need someone i can trust.

I am from Brussels, Belgium which is about 375 miles from Hamburg so I don't know if this can help you but I know a Toyota dealer here who is actually CHEAP (really cheap !) and very honest (even with foreigners ;-) ), he is actually nearly a friend of mine. As far as I am concerned I wouldn't mind going there and bring it back here and only make you pay the actual costs of moving it (which shouldn't be that high, I just moved an old Landie from the UK to Belgium and it was ok). For me it would be an opportunity to move a bit and have one day off in Germany ;-).
It's up to you to see if you want to do that way or prefer working with a more local guy, which could possibly make things easier to deal with, this is just an opened option for you, I hope it helps
