At the end of March 2009 I will be in Marocco. Planning to take a bus to Laayoune. I would like to know, if it is possible to make connection to Canary Islands either from there or any other place in Marocco.

There was a ferry from Tarfaya (north of Laayoune) for a while, see this thread,

According to this blog it is suspended and discussions may take place this year to restore it.
