Niger-Algeria-Tunis convoy?
 

Hi, we are in Benin heading north back to Europe, anyone around here interested in making a kind of convoy? we could eventually meet in Agadez and share costs of the guide, etc...

I still don"t have a visa for Algeria, other travellers advised me to ask for it in Agadez and nowhere else, anyone knows something about this?

I'm in Cameroon, and heading the same way. The Algerian consul promise to give me the visa tomorow, but strongly advise aginst this route..

Unless he is refering to the attack in the Aïr near Agadez last Friday (not on this route, but near it) I can't see why it would be a problem (it is not uncommon for those in distant dip missions to be out of touch).
Traffic goes to and fro all the time and anyway in Algeria you will be travelling with an escort from border to border

In your opinion is it possible to go from the Tunisian border to Ain Guezzam in 9 days in a Defender 110, as the agency says? I am travelling on my own.
Is diesel supply in Ain Guezzam reliable?

no problem, including a quick overnight at Assekrem I imagine.

Diesel no probs in IGZ, tho I have not been there myself for years. It is a proper town now.
