Niger to Egypt

I need to get from Nouakchott in Mauritania to Egypt. It looks Mauritania to Mali to Niger is straightforward. Is this true. Also, should I consider going for Niger through Algeria to Libya and Egypt?

you have chosen an awful difficult itinerary!
If you do speak french I can send you the adress of somebody who travelled from Faya/Chad to Kufra/Libya last autumn. They had problems there of course, but as they got the libyan visa already in N'Djamena everything worked out fine after a few days.

Hi Ursula,

I'm planning to travel from Ndjamena to Kufra next autumn, in my own car. Do you have the e-mailadress of the person who did this trip? (I did Libya-Niger-Chad last autumn, and would now want to go back to Libya (my car is still in Ndjamena).
