we tried it a week or so ago but after a while the good new piste just gave out; tho it looks like they are preparing to seal it from below the eqst_west rekkam piste crossing
to be honest rekkam was as i imagined, flat, windy and a bit boring compqred to south and west of bou denib, etc Gandini guides (Fr) have many routes here: Chris S |
Hi Chis (or anyone else who’s been up there recently)
Completely off subject but can I pick your brains a bit here? I have been looking at this area as a possible venue for a kite buggy trip in May as I remember it being as you say, flat, windy and boring. Unfortunately – as it was apparently so boring I didn’t take any pics and cant really remember what it was like up there despite using it as a short cut to and from Figuig a couple of times years ago. What I am looking for is a large flattish area of Reg type terrain with not too many large rocks, tussocks or spiky bushes as the buggy’s only have 9 or 10 inches of clearance between backside and cactus. Does anything spring to mind in the area or am I better off going down south to Ziz / Draa / Iriki ? Any comments welcome please ------------------ http://www.saharanexploration.co.uk |
