I dont think anyone gets out of Taleb without an escort - they have come to expect it there.
As we know elsewhere people have managed to get inland with some persuading (from Oran for example) but if anywhere it is the north and especially northeast that you want an escort.

If you want to save money pack him in your car until you get further south. I suspect it will suit the agency too.
