One trip we were in a rush to get to Kidal before dark. I found a technique to ride with one wheel on the ridge in the middle, and the other on the side.
That way we could go 80-90 instead of 60-70 on a stony and often narrow piste, but it took total focus for hours and split second decisions when there was a rock or a hole.
Arrived just before dark with a broken suspension and cracked frame. But it was fun!

I suppose there is a general lesson that having a tight schedule introduces extra risks.
