sahara overland
hello,
i'm questionning myself about doing a trip in sahara next year. As i begin to get documentation i'm questionning about the book : sahara overland. Is it a good book to have an overview about sahara trip ? Is informations in this book up to date (border crossing etc...) ? Any other suggestions about documentations ? |

Other books that I've had use for: * Sahara Handbook (Glen) - Much outdated, but lot of good travel facts and allround info. * Algerisches Sahara (Reiseverlag something...). For Algeria, this is the best. But you have to read German. * Get the latest editions of Lonely Planet as a complement (for travelling in the cities and maps). * I've also heard positive reviews for Klaus Därrs books, but haven't held anything in my hand. The online material that he put out is very useful at least. [plug] BTW, I'm a contributor to Chris book, you'll have plenty of use for it! [end of plug] Jan |
Besides the book and this forum you may find the:
