Sif Essouane, Tunisia, current situation
 

Does anybody know anything ragarding current difficult conditions on the way from Douz to Sif Essouane in Grand Erg Oriental (Tunisia).



I heard that this year Sif Essouane is really challenging. I heard that some 4x4 got stuck for many days, some broke and even people with 20years of experience of driving in the dunes had problems.

Did see a few banged up 4x4s loading onto the ferry out of Tunisia on our return....including one that looked like it rolled in the dunes

there was two accidents (vehicle damage only), it was hard to cross during the hot period, however now, we have groups that crossed successfully, let me know if you need more details.
