Southern Algeria Agencies?
 

Hello,

Can anyone recommend me some travel agencies for arranging visa and a guide+car for Southern Algeria? We plan to go for around two weeks starting around 20 November.
I have tried two that were recommended: Tanezrouft and Tarahist, but they have not responded to my emails.

We're looking for the same. Planning to ride 2-up through Algeria from Tunisia and on into Niger mid-November 2006. Please let us know if you've had any joy re Algerian agencies in order to obtain visa. Sorry can't be any help to you at this stage but if you fancy teaming up/sharing cost of guide let us know.

Tanezrouft OK, contact Yves - a frequent poster on this forum.
Tarahist - forget it, the owner passed away april 06, his wife continues to run a very nice camping in Tam, can organise some yourneys in the region but as far as a guide through Algeria goes, it is way too expensive

go Tarahist if it's a first trip - Swiss precision and easily the nicest camping/rooms in Tam.
