i have read all your advice and seems to me not to be a good idea to go to north off tchad now ha?
i know it all depends on different stuff, but say, have anyone tried to go with a car and guide to faya or even further to tibesti region independently?
i heard recently that a car with a guide and food and gas is $200 a day?
so let us say if all is well, is my estimate with 12 days round trip to aozou and $2500 right?
and the accomodation, damn, $150 a day, that is a lot, is there a chance to sleep in someones house or place, what about the people in ndjamena, faya, are they likely to offer me a place for some $ ?

From what I saw last month , definitely Id would NOT count on that . At least in NJamena . Get ready to pay lots of cash for accomodation

or ..

sleeping in a Tent in the Novotel's parking is the other ussual option .
