I 'm planning to visit Tynisia in two weeks from now. Any suggestions about what is worth to visit ? And about the areas that i have to stay away for safety reasons .....

I was called several times a Touareg by locals because I was traveling alone on my motorcycle. ;-) Also, you will meet many guards posted at entries of small towns. They are there to filter the bad guys. So, don't be offended if you have to present your passport over and over. Often, these guards will offer fruits, water, milk. I have actually never seen guards as friendly as in Tunisia and Morocco. In large cities such as Tunis, cops dressed as civilians and working in team of two can sometimes be very cocky though. Stay calm. Hold your stand but show some openeness. With a large smile. ;-) And the only area I would avoid is Kasserine. You can go thru. Just don't stick there. |
