Tyre change 275/70/16 LANDCRUISER
Using tyre pliers and levers I have been able to remove and replace a tyre. But my Quickair 2 compreesor is not able to produce the volume of air to reseat the bead.I used a strap around the circumference of the tyre to partly seal the bead. I have read that lighter fuel or petrol run into the inflation valve and then ignited may do the job? Does anyone have practical experience and a safe method of achieving tyre bead reseating using this technique? I would appreciate your help.

Hi Mike,
use a 16" bicycle tupe to seal the gap between rim and tyre, that should work allways and is not dangerous. Some images are ther: http://www.sahara-info.ch/forum3/veh...sts/2035.shtml Also option 1 from: http://www.tyrepliers.com.au/Instructions/page11.htm could be worth trying Good luck, Yves www.redjem.ch |
