visa for Algeria
 

I have a South African passport. What are the entry requirements for entering Algeria or are we deemed to be "undesirable".

I think it is only Israelis they are down on now, but you may need an invite (easily obtained)

Last December I went to Algeria on an SA passport with a visa from the Algerian Consulate in Pretoria. It was tough to get (took about 2 months of continual trying and an appointment with the Ambassador). The SA passport presented no problem at all once in Algeria.

I'm about to apply in London with an SA passport - I'm told it takes longer than most other nationalities, but there is no official exclusion. Might be safer on an SA passport in Algeria at the moment!

Chris, how is an invite "easily arranged".
