Visa to Mauritania in the border ???
 

Hello,
I'm planning to travell to Mauritania in August 2002, and I want to Know if it is possible to take a visa to Mauritania in the Marocco border, after the military convoy(Fort Guerart).

Hi Nelson,

There's no convoy between Dakhla and Fort Guerguerat. It ended last January.
You may apply for the visa at the border or do it in Portugal, which is less expensive.

I crossed the border ten days ago. Officially you need one. In reality French Germans Italians Spaniards Belgians and Dutch travellers have all bought them at the border. They paid something like €45 each. This is not official policy at the moment.

In Rabat you get it the same day for €10, no problems.

Both borders shut at about 20.00.
