Wanted: 2 people travelling from Egypt to Libya
 

Hello,
We are two people in a Landrover 109" travelling from Egypt to Tunesia. In order to obtain a Libyan visa, we need to show up at the embassy in Cairo with at least 4 people. So we need two more travellers. We want to apply for a visa end of December 2002 or around the 20th January 2003. Who can help us out?

are you sure you need to show up with 4 people in order to obtain a visa for Libya? Was it not possible to get a visa in Holland itself?
Is it easier to get a visa for Libya in Tunisia or in Egypt?

Hello Karel,

We also tried to apply for the visa in Holland, but without any result. We don't know if it is easier to apply for the visa in Tunis since we haven't been there.
We 've just found out that we need 6 people instead of 4 in total http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/frown.gif to apply for the visa. As you can see it is not as simple as it looks.

Do you have any plans of visiting Libya?

Hello Frank,

my wife and I plan to travel from Belgium to South Afrika with our Series III 109 somewhere next year. We are not sure yet what route to take : our 2 possibilities ;
1) Spain-Algeria-Niger-Tchad-Sudan-......
2) France or Italy-Tunisia-Libya-Tchad-Sudan

Any comment on these routes?
