What sort of equipment ?
We are coming from Australia to drive a 4x4 from London to Atar ( via ore train )and back. Will check out Chinguetti and Oudane and might do Nouakchott-Nouadihibou coastal route uopn return.
As we are limited as to what we can bring over on the plane we will need to purchase some equipment in the UK which will be very expensive for us given the exchange rate. Do we need sand ladders, tow straps, fuel jerry cans, hi-lift or exhaust jack for this route ? We will be bringing an air compressor and GPS with us. Any other recovery equipment that we need that comes to mind ? Thanks, Ron rloncar@darebin.vic.gov.au |
If you are taking the ore train NDB to Choum then you wont need sand ladders with a 4x4.
Used good jerries cost only AUD13 in the UK, spades are cheap too. Tow straps about the same. Some sort of jack is needed of course, bags are lighter and you could easily flog an Aust one in the UK. If weight is a problem, send it ahead by sea freight. CS |
If you make your way through Germany you might mant to stop at our place for a night or so - if so drop me a mail - we're around 100k's east of Cologne...
