Alaska to Canada then US
 

If I get us visa are there any problems if Start Alaska enter Canada and then South into US . I will be on a British passport.

It's a good question as my visa only allows to flight in to Canada, but i am planning to do Canada then USA then back to Canada before heading down to South America.
On question, you may be able to help me with, what motorbike insurance are you going to use for USA and Canada?

Your situation is only unusual because you will be making two entries into the USA, not one entry.

Take a close look at the fine print of your visa, and determine if it is valid for one entry only, or for multiple entries within the period of validity of the visa. My guess is that it is probably good for multiple entries, simply because holders of British passports don't present a great risk of claiming refugee status in the USA. In fact, it is possible that what you have is not a visa per se, but simply an electronic travel authorization (ESTA). But, having said that, the Americans can be a bit wonky sometimes with border control & immigration issues, so check the fine print on the American website where you got the visa or ESTA.

If your visa is an "electronic visa" (ESTA) that you applied for online, rather than a sticker in your passport that you obtained at an American embassy, you might have to re-apply for another electronic visa to enter the USA a second time once you leave Alaska and enter Canada. But that should be no more difficult than the process you followed to get the first USA visa.

Be aware that you may need to get an "electronic travel authorization" from Canada to enter Canada on a British passport. See this link for details:

We did a travel for 8 months two years ago in NA. And we had a B2 visa. We entered via the US and got 6 months. Left via Canada to Alaska. Back to Canada. On the East coast we applied for an extension. Normally not possible but if you don’t ask. And we received again 6 months so we entered US again and after 3 months we left from Toronto back to the EU. Don’t forget that the clock of your visa starts ticking from the first entry on. Doesn’t stop when you leave the country. ESTA only resets if you leave the US to a non border country. So Mexico and Canada doesn’t count. You need to take a plane or the boat.

ESTA is valid for multiple entries with a UK Passport. You must leave North America, meaning USA, Canada and Mexico, and some caribe islands nations, within the time frame of the Tourist Visa, which is 90 days.

Your time spent in Canada, counts as time spend in the USA for the 90 days. (Same with Mexico)

You would need to leave the North America, to reset the 90 days, like a flight to Costa Rica, (Cheapest usually) or Guatemala, Belize etc.
