American buying in the UK
 

If I'm a US resident and I buy a bike in Europe. Bring it back to the states on the yacht that I work on. Will I be taxed or charged a duty? I want more of a selection when choosing a bike for a South America trip!

You'll have problems if the bike in question is not one that was previously officially imported in to the US i.e. Africa Twin, Transalp etc.

You'd also need to ensure that the bike meets US requirements, European bikes often have a different spec - research first.
