Hi, has anyone ever stopped or at any of the BLM long term visitor areas in the arizona or california regions? Imperial dam near yuma etc. The permits are $125 for 6 months and you can move to other LTVA's with said permit. Any info would be welcome from anyone who has used these long stay areas. Or any others for that matter.

If I remember correctly, one of the recent "Smithsonian Magazines" had a huge article on them (probably around Jul-Aug 01 edition)
