Buying a bike and shipping to Colombia
 

Hi everyone
I'm looking to buy a bike somewhere in the US and have it shipped to Colombia for a trip I have coming up. I'm looking at a KLR 650 and similar Japanese bikes.
I live in Vancouver and plan on taking the train to Portland or Seattle and flying to Miami and then onto Colombia.
As a Canadian what is involved in buying a American bike?
Are any states better than others for buying of shipping?
Can anyone recommend a shipper?
