Calling All Friendlies - Vancouver - Dead Horse/Prudhoe Bay
Hi
Travelling North from Vancouver leaving today for Dead Horse/Prudhoe Bay. Should be taking Cassiar up and Alkan back down (I think this is right - Pacific and then East route out) and of course will be on the Dalton Highway. Looking for friendlies along the way and riders taking the same route up or down (Quite keen not to be eaten by bears - Have bear spray and my tent). Any recs or ideas would be great, local recs are the best! Coming from Ushuaia. Hope to see some of you up there. Good roads. Best AC |
Hi AC,
My wife and I are now in Hyder and will be heading up to fairbanks with a stop in Haines. Will not be going to prudo but will be heading back on TOW and Campbell. Let me know if you think our paths might cross. We are riding a super tener and are from Australia. Ride safe, Jeffrey |

Hope you are enjoying your ride. We will be Whitehorse tonight. How are you enjoying the cassiar? We found it really good but ranintosomerough roads outside of Dease lake. Ride safe , Jefrrey |
Hi Jeff
Running behind you, am in Stewart I look forward to the rough roads but am watching some very wet weather coming between me and you, will run to Watson Lake and see from there Oh, I am on a deceptively beaten looking Ténéré XT600 1986 Hope our paths cross Best AC |
AC,
If you get a chance Hyder is great. Going up to the glacier well worth it and then if you past the look out there is a great road down into the valley, if you come to chain gate you can go beyond it. I did and a good run, also look out for the old road going down to the glacier, great adv ride. In Whitehorse now and heading to Haines in the morning. Good luck with the weather, we got our fair share of cold and rain for almost three days, now sunny and almost hot. Ride safe, Jeffrey |
