Great Divide/ Transam Trail in August
Looking to leave Seattle sometime in August, do Great Divide trail from the north, to central Colorado, then hop on the Transam trail to Oregon. Will be equipped to camp, but will undoubtedly do some moteling as well. Experienced trials and road rider, somewhat new to dual sporting. Riding a DRZ400S. Anyone else available and interested?:D :D

Great divide trail riders
Be sure and stop in for a break and a place to wash off some of the dust, it is currently getting hot and dusty on the trail in my area. I'm just 25km from Marysville out side of Helena Montana.

Oy, Mark!
Just a big "HELLO" to you. We met briefly at the Tuggles Gap breakfast diner, just outside of Floyd, Virginia, after you waited two weeks to get your bike outta the pound (customs) and you were three days into your ride. I'm the guy, Andy, who was with a small group of riders, riding a black R1200C, with my wife on a 650 Suzuki Burgman (scooter), and my brother (long-hair hippie freak) on a R1200GS. We had just come from four days of musical fun at FloydFest (you missed it, you dumb shite), and were heading home to Asheville, NC on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I hope all is well on your ride. I got a few great pics of you, with that bo-tish-ous looking Affrikanner twin. Enjoy ther States. And stay in touch. (PM me when you get a chance.) And be sure to let me know when you have your travel website up and running. And, man: Get some freekin' pics up, willya? |
Mark, we're heading south on the Continental Divide leaving Rooseville Monday, August 21. Any idea where you'll be? Two on GS's one on DRZ. Hope to see ya!
