Montana USA weather
 

We are situated between yellowstone and glacier parks and have been having unusually warm weather lately. 60F in the days and barely freezing at night. The parks are still snowed in but spring could come early this year. :welcome:

Montana campout.
 

June 30 we are having a informal campout 13.5 miles east of townsend montana on highway 12 at a forest service cabin. Bunks for 8 and nice tent area. stream, fire pit and pit toilet. If anyone is in the area stop by and share a tale. If you are headed north we can regale you with tales of alaska and canada north of the arctic circle.

Montana USA Glacier Park "going to the sun highway" is open from the west side to the summit. June 19 is the forecast opening of the whole road. This is one of those amazing roads not to be missed. Go early or late in the day to miss some of the slow tourist traffic.

If you aren't in Inuvik or deadhorse for the summer solstice we are having a gathering just outside of Helena Montana USA. We leave at 7PM from the York bar and ride to the top of the nearby mountain, (about 20 miles) where we toast the longest day shortest night of the year. Open to anyone and the road is nice gravel with a few ruts and loose rocks, easy ride if it doesn't rain or snow. Let me know if you want more info.
