Need safe heaven for my Motorbike in southern USA
 

Hi there,

my name is Martin Leonhardt (www.freiheitenwelt.de) and I am riding since 2013 - heading north from Chile.

Right now I am in Mexiko and I am planning to leave (or better I have to leave because of custom papers) the second week of October. Since I am flying back to Germany for +- 3-4 months I am looking for a save parking for my KTM 1190 Adventure.

The idea is to just cross the border, park the bike and take the next plane back home. I will be back in middle of February - latest March 2019 to continue my trip heading towards Alaska.

I am quite flexible when it comes to destinations in the USA. But something close to the boarder of Mexiko would be nice - since (like always) I am getting out of travel budget...

I have a place in Tennessee. A bit far from Mexico, but you can leave your bike there as long as you want

How about Phoenix Arizona?

We left our 4runner there in storage for a couple of months and flew home for Christmas.

Lots of self storage places in the north of the city. Very reasonable rent for a secure locked unit big enough to fit the car. We then took public transport to a cheap hotel near the airport, then a free shuttle to the airport the next day. Flights are cheap out of Phoenix also.

Worked very well for us.
