Riders heading south to Mexico?

Hi guys!

I'm en route to Mexico via:

the Blue Ridge Parkway trail through Virginia and North Carolina
the Cherohala Skyway in Tennessee
the Arkansas Pig trail in Arkansas
the Three Sisters trail near Medina Texas

If anyone is heading that way or local to those areas let me know! I'd love to share the ride!

All the best!

I'm riding a 2012 Yamaha TW200 and my route is planned to resemble something like this:

Laredo border crossing
Monterey
Mexico City
San Andres Tuxtia
Highway 180 with lots of little stops : )
Merida
Tizimin
Tulum
Chiapas (parque natural montes azules and other stops)
Salina Cruz
Highway 200 East to West with many stops!
Colima
Guadalajara
Durango

And depending how the trip goes so far I will either head north to the Copper Canyon or take the Ferry to Baja. After that it's Los Angeles!

Any takers?

Yeah, I'm going that way, but i think we'll be going at different speeds. I'll be at the HU meet near the Dragon on the weekend of oct 8th.

Just a heads up... I rode the pig trail a few weeks ago and there was a portion of it that was closed due to a small landslide. It's no big deal IF you're not constrained by time limitations but the detour will add to your day. Once you get to southwest arkansas I would suggest taking the Talimena scenic drive into Oklahoma. It's a beautiful fall ride.

Safe travels.
