I have just spotted this on Facebook and thought it might come in useful, I presume it will be updated as laws change so could be worth a sticky.

My understanding is that when you bring your own MC to the US, you need to file for US EPA nonresident exemption letter.
That together with the customs declaration (EPA and DOT) and you can ride your bike the way it is.

Having said that, I still would apply common sense e.g. take a passenger only when you have a seat and footpegs ... :innocent:
