4X4 and Trekking in the Wakhan October 2007
 

I plant to explore the Wakhan in Afghanistan in late September / early October this year. I have one spare seat in my 4X4. Does anyone fancy coming along to share the experience?

I am still planning this adventure, looking at the necessary permits. Any infoirmation would also be appreciated.

I will be trekking through the Wakhan in July/Aug 2007. Have you found any good GPS info or Topo maps yet? I have purchased some that may be of interest to you. Check out:Let's go! and Multimap :: Welcome and Eurasia detailed maps (2 DVD) - DVD-A10 - Mapstor.com and GLOBAL MAP Afghanistan Map for Garmin GPS

Some is freakin expensive, but there are few options if you plan to go far into the corridor exploring.
