Possibly a long shot Ted, but there is a haulage company based in Cheltenham - Ralph Davies Ltd - who (I believe) have a regular route through Russia somewhere to the Chinese border.

I'm doing a different trip now. This one is too much expense and beaurocracy and isn't compatible with other stuff I'm doing this year now.. I don't liek riding into dead ends and being forced to spend stupid money to get back. I think I'm best waiting until I have more time and money so I can keep going.

In case you are planning to do this trip or anyone else. I bring a container back from Ulanbaatar once a year at the moment. Usually dispatched around December and arriving in the UK for February. I would be interested in reducing my costs by helping Overlanders with a car or a bike bring there vehicle back sharing some of the costs.

I have imported my car back in the past so am aware about some of the process and have some helpers on the Mongolian side.

If this interests any of you please ask me and I can approach my freight forwarder. An estimation of cost would be around £1000.
