Azerbaijan Embassy, Aktau, Kazakstan

Hi there,

I just wanted to share the info that if you are in Aktau and want to go to the Azerbaijan Embassy to get a visa, it's moved. After 3 hours i found out that it moved to Mikrorayon 15-Dom(means house)30. It's a villa on a corner. Ans it's not in Mikrorayon 4-Dom 12 anymore.
Hope it helps someone!

Cheers, Bossit.:thumbup1:

Thanks for this post, it came perfectly. I'm planning a trip from Urumqi, China back to Belgium and might catch the ferry to Azerbaijan in Aktau.

Now I don't need to ride all up to Astana to get an Azeri visa, as I intended to do earlier :-)

Do you have an idea if they issue transit visas reasonably quickly?

H.

Transitvisa Azerbeidjan

Hi Hanzywanzy,

Just arrived back in Belgium a few days ago. So if you´re back and want to meet let me know. :-)
The transitvisa gets issued in 2 days and costs 20$.
Keep in mind that although the transitvisa is valid for 5 days, your bike is only allowed for 3 days in the country!

Cheers,Bossit.:taz:

Hey Bossit,

I'm bussy to plane a travel to Kazakhstan in the spring/summer 2011. Can you tell me something more about your experience in central Asia.
How do you do your trip, by bike? Was Russia into your trip, what kind of visa's do you have needed.
Did you had a log, or website?

Thanks a lot

I can't send you a pm because i don't post enough on the Hubb:(

Hey The Hunter,

Excuse me for not getting back to you earlier. Anyway, i can tell you a lot about my trip but it wouldn't fit here i think. So if you have specific questions, shoot! I'll be glad to help you out.
I traveled by motorbike from Belgium. To Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Mongolia, back into Russia, Kazachstan, Kyrgistan, Tajikistan, Uzbkistan, Back into Kazachtstan, Ferry to Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkye, Greece, Macedonia, Kosovo, Serbia, Kroatia, Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Belgium.
That took about 7 months. I appied for a 3 month business visa for Russia and a tourist visa for Mongolia in Belgium. Al the rest of visas i applied along the way.
I have a website, about previus trips. No info about this trip yet, as i got to make a new website.
Hope this helps a bit.

Cheers, Bossit.

Thanks, your trip is like I proposal. In which period do you have travel, i have read about the temperature in the summer can be very hot.
What was your experience with the ferry to Azerbaijan? (Aqtau to Bakoe) I had think about the same, but in the reverse direction.

Do you have make a tracklog or something i can use for planning?
When you don't have problems to share it with me, you can send to my email adress.

Thanks a lot, Jonathan

Hi Bossit,
Hi all,

First post on the HUBB...

Currently planning a rather similar trip as Bossit's (just the other way around, exiting Europe via Turkey) and hoping to leave within a month or so. Just a question regarding the visas needed.

In order to avoid too many visa hassles on the way my wife and I would already like to apply for as many visas as possible before heading out. All countries to be visited which require visas (Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Russia) have embassies / consulates in Brussels / Antwerp and the procedures for most countries seems relatively straightforward. However, if we apply now some of the visas will already be expired by the time we arrive at the border of those countries because it seems they will only be 3 months valid. We don't expect to reach Tajikistan and/or Kyrgyzstan before mid August. Any recommendations? Trustworthy embassies on route (Turkey?)?

Regards,

Ingrid & Stijn

Azerbaidjan visa validity

Hi Belgians ;)

we're planning to take the ferry to Baku in a few weeks (either from TM or KZ). Could you tell us if the Azerbaidjan transit visa has fixed entry/exit dates? Or do we have 3 days to transit within a certain period? That would make our planning a lot easier!

Thx

Hallo,

Groetjes,
Evelyne

What is this tongue? Gagaouze? Tchetchene?

danielsprague 17 Feb 2014 10:01

Has anyone been to the Aktau consulate recently?

It would be very convenient if I could get a transit visa there, but it seems that most AZ embassies / consulates have stopped issuing them altogether.

Anyone with recent success?

Thanks

Evelyne,

who are you addressing? Feel free to PM me, or the other Belgians in this thread also I guess.

@roro: the tongue is Dutch...
