Book on Overland Asia
 

Anyone got a good book that helped with their planning? Plan on driving across Russia, China, Mongolia, south east Asia. I know there's an old book called Asia Overland and would be happy to get that but how relevant is it to travelling those routes today?

If you can get hold of a copy for an historical perspective (travelling in the 1970s) trans asia motoring by colin McElduff wil make you yearn for the days when going to a foreign country really did mean a change of culture, not just a different place for McDonalds!
