Carnet neede for kazakhstan?
 
Have tied searching this forums and other searches without luck. Is carnet needed for a motorcycle in Kazakhstan?

No. I crossed from near Rubsotvsk (Russia) into Kazakhstan in August this year and there was no requirement for a Carnet.

in 2003 : no. it may have changed since but apparently no, according to the recent experiences. in 2003, they give you a kind of "temporaly import document" that you must present to the local police or authorities within 3 days for validation, with your tourist visa. is this procedure still in force ?
