Carrying food rations into Russia?

Can anyone tell me where I can look to see the restictions on carrying prepackaged food into Russia for our own consumption? By food, I mean tins, packaged rice, pasta etc. Thanks, Chris

Food

Not sure where to find any details, but they weren't too concerned when entering last so I doubt you would have any problems with whatever you were carrying. Most countries are usually concerned about fresh fruit and vegetables etc. and less so about packaged goods. In any event, you can pretty much find whatever you require there, your Cyrillic reading skills just get a bit of a workout.

carrying food

Hi,
it shouldn´t be a problem. Of course you never can be sure for 100%.
But the supply with food in Russia is no problem at all, so you can buy it locally. You will find everything you need to live.
Stores are even better available than in Germany! And they are often open untill late night!

Greets and have a nice time
