Entering Mongolia from China
 
I am in the process of planning my summer 2026 trip and my intention is to visit Mongolia from China, which is where I live.
I would either ride or ship my bike from Beijing to one of the various China/Mongolia border crossings and go from there.

My question is, has anyone entered Mongolia on a Chinese registered motorcycle?
Does anyone know of a contact in Mongolia who could help me with paperwork regarding brining a Chinese registered motorcycle into and then back out of Mongolia?

No special paperwork is needed to enter Mongolia with a vehicle in my experience.

I really wish neighbouring countries would reciprocally ban Chinese vehicles from entering, to maybe put some pressure on the Chinese government to grow up a bit and allow people to drive in, but Mongolia (and Russia, CIS) don't as far as I know. So I doubt you'll need anything beyond ownership papers.
