Japan info website

I have remade my Japan touring info site for overlanders. I hadn't updated in years, so I decided to just start over from scratch.
If you have any feedback on how I can make this better, please let me know.
All suggestions are welcome (even if I can't incorporate them all:eek3: )
Don't bookmark the site as I will be changing the URL to that of my previous and horribly outdated site when I am finished.

The new (and hopefully improved) site:
Information for overlanders | Japan on two wheels

Thanks,

Camping

Hello Chris.

Thanks for putting in the effort on the web site. One thing that would be handy to know is the camping situation? Is there campsites around? is free camping allowed?

Cheers Tom

Great Work

Hi Chris,
another vote of encouragement. Japan is on my list of places to visit by bike, so thanks for the info, keep it coming.

Tom,
As stated in my website in the Travel Hints (carefully placed deep down so nobody actually reads it? :innocent: ),
there are plenty of campsites in Japan.
Most of them are noted on the "Touring Mapple" set of atlases for motorcycling. Prices are generally around US$10 for a motorcyclist. However, prices can vary with some "auto camp" places charging as much as $50. Check the price before you pitch your tent!
Free/bush camping is generally tolerated unless posted otherwise (in Japanese of course :confused1: ). At worst, you will be asked to move along. I have heard of questioning by police because someone reported a suspicious person. But I have never heard of anyone actually being arrested/fined. It becomes dark early in Japan (and subsequently the sun comes up before 5 am in the summer), so the trick is to find a place before dark, pitch your tent in the final light of the day, and get up early.
