Japan Insurance
 

Hubbers, My Mate is taking his bike to Japan and is having trouble finding Insurance. Does anyone know a Company who will Insure his Harley in Japan please?

Mandatory third-party insurance (called "jibaiseki-hoken") can be purchased at any motorcycle shop. Minimum term is one month, but most shops don't often see requests for such short term. They may need to call the company they sell insurance from to find out the price (about 5000 yen). Comprehensive insurance for a temporary import I have never heard of. (It may be possible, but I have never heard of a traveler getting it).
