Sounds like a pretty awesome place - if it is navigable I would be interested in thinking about riding up there from Vladivostok next year.

I got a reply from these guys and they said that you can drive from Vlad in the summer - however they didn't give any directions!

drive onto the ferry, then drive off at Petropavlovsk.

if they can show you a road to Kamchatka, I would eat my hat.
