Kasakhstan route between Aral (Sekseüil) and Beyneü

I am wondering if the route between Аральск (Аральский район, Kyzylorda Region) and Beyneu, Mangystau Region) is doable (solo) on a motorbike.
Has anyone done this before?
My biggest concern is fuel, according to OSM it should be around 630km, wondering if there's fuel in Bozoy, Tasqora or somewhere near along the way. My plan is to try that in early June this year.

I don't know if anybody ever did it solo, but I remember meeting two russian guys on M32 who did similar "direct" route from Beyneu to Aral.
They looked pretty exhausted.

It is a pretty desolate area.
Petrol can be an issue, water can be even worse.

Take care

If you take the main road via Shalkar and Kandyagash you will pass through a succession of villages where you should be able to find fuel. If you were thinking of cutting cross country there's an awful lot of nothing.

Hey Joe,

have you actually done this trip? If yes, can you share your experience with us? And if no, why not?

Cheers

Yes there is fuel in Bozoi - it is the oonly population centre of any value along the route. Plan your route carefully on google earth following tracks on the ground. There is no "route". ... just a network of 4WD tracks. Its is very remote and very hot. You WILL need to be sure that the track you are on leads to where you need to go. If you get lost or become confused or unsure where your track is going, you have a decent chance of dying out there. Thus map it all out on satellite maps before you leave Aralsk. You need 100% confidence in your tracks (and your bike if going solo).

You should be able to catch a few of the last remaining Aral sea ships (tho they are almost all gone now), and you will also be able to see the last remaining deep part of the Aral sea (south of Bozoi - on a different route to the one you have shown).

I gave the track to Lyndon and Lukas who rode it in 2014: The video includes their stop in Bozoi.

And to Chris Hamer who did it solo in 2017. https://www.facebook.com/permalink.p...20308115208597

Thanks for the nice reply! I just started watching the races to places series and seeing the guys crossing the dryed laked gave me the actual idea in the first place^^

But riding this tour alone and with no extensive mechanical/navigational abilities seems to be a bit too dangerous. Especially while riding my old ADV 950 that loves to burn fuel faster than a porsche.

But anyway thanks for the info!!
