Kazachstan - India overland
 

Hi fellow travellers.

We continue our trip this year and we travel by car from Kazakhstan.
I am planning to go to India, is there a way to travel overland from Kaz via Kyrgyzstan to India? I prefer to go via China or Pakistan, but I think both are a problem now. Getting a visum for Pakistan might be impossible to arrange at the border. Travel overland with our own car through china might be another possibility, but I am not sure if that's possible to arrange.

Does anyone know about it or did it before recently?

Well you have a problem if you dont want to go thru China ... there are only 2 international crossings of the entire Himalayan mountain chain .... one is from China to Pakistan and the other is from China to Nepal.

You could go thru Afghanistan and Pakistan of course, its going around the mountain roange, but if you dont like Pakistan anyway you wont like afghanistan and pakistan even more I guess
