Kazakhstan visa suspended for 1 year
 

apparently the Kazakhstan government has decided to scrap the usual requirement for a visa for a number of nationalities including Great Britain. This is to encourage business travel but also applies to tourists.
The new system starts on 15th July & is being trialed for 12 months. There is no limit on the number of entries you can make.
however I am not sure whether the need to register within 5 calendar days has been suspended too.

Not as of today as I came into Kazakstan. I was reminded very clearly if the 5 day rule.
